Project Description
Located in Hillsborough, North Carolina, the Orange County Northern Campus project consist of three new county buildings on a 20 acre site. These facilities include a new Detention Center, Environmental Agricultural Center and the Park Operations Base. The buildings were originally slated as separate projects but Orange County was able to secure one piece of land to house all three buildings; saving them money on construction, infrastructure, and maintenance. These buildings were all designed and built with sustainability in mind utilizing photovoltaic solar panel arrays, geothermal mechanical system at the Detention Center, and energy efficient fixtures that will cut down on energy cost and provide pay back over time.
