New, 3-story, 100,000sf facility constructed within an existing densely populated urban residential site in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to accommodate 500 K-12 students. 50 Solartube Skylight and Brightlink Light Shelves were used for daylighting the classroom spaces. A garden American Hydrotech roof was provided adjoining the science classroom for a teaching feature. The project also include an underground 45,000-cubicfoot CMP detention basin, a 60,000 gallon rainwater cistern for the school’s cooling tower and plumbing facility use. Northside Elementary School is the 1st LEED Platinum Elementary School in North Carolina, 1 of 4 LEED Platinum Elementary Schools in the Country and the 20th LEED Platinum Public School in the County.

You handled this project with perfection enabling us to open the school in plenty of time and under budget. The project was a huge success and your hard work and leadership were major reasons for the achievement.
