The North Carolina Justice Academy Gymnasium consisted of the demolition and removal of the original 1940’s gymnasium and classroom building and replacing with a new 21,000sf building. The new facility contains science laboratories, crime scene investigation laboratories, weight lifting area, combat training area, full bath and shower facilities, and a new gymnasium with liquid-applied sports flooring and athletic equipment.

The new gymnasium area is oval in shape and surrounded by a split-face masonry wall with accent bands. A running track wraps around the gym with 3/4″ glass walls separating the track from the athletics court, showcasing a unique fitness arena.

Pre-construction services included value engineering. This project completed one (1) month ahead of schedule.

Bordeaux Construction maintained a great relationship with the Owner and Designers throughout the project. The project manager always went the extra mile to satisfy the Architect and Owner.
